"ROWS OF ROSES" Dotted Swiss Dress for 23" MT Doll/ClothesByRose

Catherine is modeling a gorgeous ORIGINAL ONE OF A KIND 4 piece Vintage Dotted Swiss dress ensemble for a 23 inch My Twinn doll.  The listing includes:  Dress, petticoat, pantaloons, and a hair bow barrette.
The dress is made from a beautiful Vintage dotted Swiss fabric.  It has rows of tiny pink roses with red and green stems and leaves on a white background.  This is a wonderful fabric that is very hard to find.  It most likely dates back to the 1950's or 60's.  I have had this fabric for quite a few years and they just don't make fabrics like this anymore.  It is very well preserved.  The bodice is embellished with vintage lace and some motifs from the Venise lace along with sequins and white pearls. Three pink pearl buttons are sewn down the middle of the bodice.  (See Close-up of the bodice front.)  It is completely lined with white Imperial batiste.   A bow and sash embellishes the waistline in the back.
The full skirt is edged with matching antique and Venise laces.   The puffed sleeves have cuffs and are accented with a lovely vintage lace.  The dress opens completely down the back.  Buttons are for looks only.
A petticoat made from white stiff mesh netting and lace helps the skirt to stand out beautifully.  It has a waistband and opens completely down the back.  It fastens with a soft Velcro.
The pantaloons were made with white dotted Swiss with leg ruffles made from the dress fabric.  (I was running out of the dress fabric so couldn't make the entire pantaloons from it.)   They have encased elastic with white lace edging at the leg openings and lingerie elastic around the waist.
The hair bow is made with matching dotted Swiss fabric, white and pink ribbons, and a pink ribbon rosette.  It fastens with a French clip.
I have always loved dotted Swiss fabric and I used all that I have left of this fabric so there will never be another one like this.  It is my hope that it will be a treasured heirloom for you for many years to come.

I serge and press all visible seams and do lots of extra detail work. I have also done a lot of restoration work on dolls for private clients. I sew in a smoke-free environment and put a lot of love into everything I make. My favorite things to make are doll clothes and little girls' dresses. Many of my customers tell me that the LOVE shows in my outfits.  We do have a cat but he is not allowed near my sewing projects.
