"ROMANTIC ROSES" 4 pc. Dress for 23" MT Doll/ClothesByRose

Description

Rosemary is modeling a gorgeous ORIGINAL ONE OF A KIND 4 piece dress ensemble for a 23 inch My Twinn doll.  The listing includes:  Dress, petticoat, pantaloons, and a hair bow barrette.
The dress is made from a beautiful Benartex "Romance" by E. Vine Cotton Screen Print fabric.  It has clusters of lavender/orchid shaded roses with pale green stems and leaves on a mostly white background.   There are other tiny flower outlines and tiny lavender dots in the background.  I have featured one of the rose clusters on the bodice with pleated orchid colored lace on each side and a white delicate trim.  The waistline is embellished with doubled sided satin ribbon and pearl buttons.  (See Close-up of the bodice front.)   Ribbon ends are always treated with Fray Chek.  It is completely lined with pale lavender Imperial batiste.  The puffed two piece sleeves are embellished with laces and have a narrow cuff.  The same dotted Swiss as is in the skirt forms lower part of the sleeves.
The full skirt is edged with a band of pale lavender dotted Swiss fabric and matching laces.  The dress opens completely down the back.  Buttons are for looks only.
A petticoat made from white stiff mesh netting and lace helps the skirt to stand out beautifully.  It has a waistband and opens completely down the back.  It fastens with a soft Velcro.
The pantaloons were made with lavender dotted Swiss.  They have encased elastic with orchid lavender lace edging at the leg openings and lingerie elastic around the waist.
I'm getting old and don't know how much longer I'll be sewing so I'm trying to use up some of the rare and beautiful fabrics from my stash.
The hair bow is made with matching fabric, ribbon, and a magenta rosette.  It fastens with a French clip.

I have been a seamstress for nearly 70 years. (My mother let me play with her treadle machine and I began making doll clothes when I was 10 years old). I serge and press all visible seams and do lots of extra detail work. I have also done a lot of restoration work on dolls for private clients. I sew in a smoke-free environment and put a lot of love into everything I make. My favorite things to make are doll clothes and little girls' dresses. Many of my customers tell me that the LOVE shows in my outfits.  We do have a cat but he is not allowed near my sewing projects.
