Vintage Rustic Steiff Teddy Bear 1902 1903 Commemorative Wooden Sign Wall Plaque

This is a Vintage Rustic Steiff Teddy Bear Wooden Sign / Wall Plaque Commemorating the advent of the Steiff Teddy Bear.
I found the following relevant information in the Margarete Steiff GmbH wikipedia article:
"A 3000 piece order was placed in 1903 by a buyer in America after the "Teddy" bear craze began showing a cartoon with President Roosevelt and a young cub. By 1907, Steiff manufactured 974,000 bears, and has been increasing its output ever since."
The sign is about 11 1/4" in diameter and 1" thick at the rim.  The sign is made from a piece of thick, rough pine board that appears to be reclaimed wood, complete with three nail holes that go all the way through.  The bentwood rim, nailed into place, gives the sign an appearance that is suggestive of a rustic barrel or crate lid.
The sign has the appearance of being hand painted.  I did find other examples of this sign on line, so I thought perhaps they were hand made in a "cottage industry" fashion but I do not know for sure.  There is a wire hanger on the back for wall hanging.
The sign is an estate piece and we do not know the age specifically.
PLEASE NOTE:  As a matter of interest, I wanted to list in a Steiff category under toys.  The final 'leaf' category requires that you know the age of the piece to be within one of three age ranges.  Since I did not have that information, I arbitrarily chose the most recent category.
At the time of the original listing, we have several Mohair bear and animal listings in our ebay store.  None of them are Steiff; our Steiff pieces were all sold some time ago.
Condition
The sign is in very good condition.  The only thing I noted were the nail holes in the sign as seen, but they appear to be original to the creation of the sign using a reclaimed pine board.
