Vintage 80s Old School Redline Proline PL-20 BMX Carrera Bike with original components. LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY — USA — Woodbridge, VA.* Bike has been stored INDOORS for years. Original and only owner. This was my bike when I was younger and it was purchased in either 1983 or 1984.
Selling AS IS:
I dusted this off and hand polished this bike from tip to tip. For its age (> 35 years), bike is in excellent condition. All original components except the hand grips (these were replaced in the mid to late 80s). Originals Include: frame, fork, handlebar, 3-piece crank, “hutch bear trap” pedals, seat, rims, brake, spokes, stickers, tires, and even the inner tire tubes (see additional details in #1-10 listed below and please see all pics as these are part of description). Needs an inspection (especially tires and tubes), basic maintenance / a bike tune-up purely based on its age and the number of years spent in storage.
No major dents and no cracks; very minor dings.
There are areas of rust and some minor scratches and scuff marks from normal use/age. Please see some of the pictures in photo #7 for examples (not all inclusive).
All original stickers are showing wear and/or their age (peeling / nicks in places).
Non-original rubber hand grips are worn/torn.
Original pads are missing (stolen from this bike many moons ago).
A Vintage BMX Bike Collector will have a lot of fun “perfecting” and “show-casing” this beauty.
