    Description

Unique Vintage A.G. Redmond 360 Degree Fan - Model 51 - Circa 1940s-1950s. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
A unique 1950's round A.G. Redmond Fan that cools 360 degrees (also have seen this referred to by the “Hassett” name). This is in good working condition and has 4 blades. The cord is in great shape and the motor runs smooth and quiet. The blade has some surface rust but should be relatively easy to clean and paint; the entire unit is very solid and has great structural integrity. The switch is in-tact, the rubber feet look to be the original ones and in acceptable shape. You could restore this and repaint it or just do some light further cleaning and refurbishing and keep it original and USE IT!
I noticed when I was turning it on, I had to press the button 3 times, then it would start. The pattern starting on OFF setting is: Press 1: Will move a little, and even start until I fully depress the button; Press 2: Think this just puts it back OFF; Press 3: Starts as you would expect 100% of the time; Press 4: Back OFF. I suspect the switch is based off of some circular mechanism internally and one side of it might be worn in some way. I would probably just leave it if I choose to restore it or at least until I could source a proper switch or doner switch.
A great industrial piece of art IMO and an easy restoration project (if it doesn’t sell, I will pursue that route and 1) replace internal wiring (while the cord is excellent shape, some of the exposed internal wiring is worn and almost exposed...you can see in the 2nd to last picture), 2) remove all surface rust, 3) repaint the blade and casing and 4) put new rubber feet on the bottom).
