    Description

    The clear plastic cover of the box is all in German and says "Margarete Steiff Giengen-Brenz" and then in smaller writing, "Erste Filzspielwaren-Fabrik Deutschlands".
    Standing, the Mama Bear is 14 inches tall. The Baby Bear hangs in an orange sash around Mama Bear which has "Margarete Steiff LTD Edition" written on it. The Baby Bear is 6 inches tall. They are made of genuine blonde Mohair which is in superb condition. Their heads, arms, and legs are jointed and move fine. They have black eyes, and a stitched nose and mouth, and felt paws.
    They have their button-in-ear brass metal buttons and white cloth tag with black writing which has the following: On Mama Bear the tag says "STEIFF KNOPE IM OHR 0155/38" and on the back it says "Made in W. Germany LTD. ED. 81 4261". On Baby Bear the tag says "STEIFF KNOPF IM OHR" and on the back it says "Made in W. Germany LTD. ED. 81 4261". Inside the box is the original paper certificate of authenticity.
