Steiff Golden Age of the Circus African Giraffe Circus Wagon 0100/88 from 1988

Description

This listing is for one collectible Steiff, Golden Age of the Circus, African Giraffe Circus Wagon, 3rd in a series of 5 wagons with a limited edition of 5000 pieces each from 1988.
Mohair Giraffe was made in W. Germany and the Circus Wagon was made in USA.
Limited edition number 2382 out of 5000 produced.
The mohair Giraffe measures 8 3/4 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches long.
The Giraffe is style number 0137/21 and barcode : 4 001505 650116.  Product number 650116.
The mohair Giraffe is not jointed, black plastic eyes with air brushed, sienna brown spots,  nose, mouth, hooves and tips of the horns on it's head.  It has a gold colored, fringed mane and a 2 1/2 inches long, beige cord tail.
The Knopf im Ohr and white tag is on the giraffe's left ear.  The yellow and red, Original Steiff hang tag is attached to the giraffe's chest with a plastic connector.  The care instructions are attached to the left hind leg with a plastic connector.
The Circus Wagon measures 8 1/2 inches long, 6 inches wide and 9 3/4 inches tall.  The wooden tongue measures 6 inches long and has small brass metal hooks, to hitch up to the next wagon.
The Wagon is handmade in USA and has simulated wheel rims and carvings, brass bars and hardware, opening roof latch, rear door with miniature hinges and latch, removable roof and the tongue is detachable.
The wagon has an ivory colored, painted chassis with red decorative details.  The cage is light green and turquoise colored with white decorative detail, and red and gold colored painted wood panels.  The plastic wheels are turquoise colored with silver painted rims that have red and white painted highlights.
The original box is not torn, but has a shopworn appearance.  The certificate of authenticity is missing.
Very good condition.  The mohair Giraffe is like new.  There are no paint chips or cracked wood on the circus wagon or tongue.  All hinges and doors work like new.  The light green wood top has some styrofoam residue stuck to the paint.  See photo.
Not a child's toy.  Fragile, collectible Circus wagon with small parts, choking hazard.
Clean and displayed in a smoke free home.
The Circus Wagon will ship in the original box, place inside another cardboard box.
