This beauty is part of the "Last Frontier Animals" Steiff collection. He's handcrafted with beautiful deep brown & caramel mohair and airbrushed by hand to achieve a life-like look. He has all the classic Steiff markings: The gold button in the ear, the limited edition white tag #424 out of only 1500, and a Steiff storage bag with his specific identification & a Steiff certificate. This impressive Buffalo has been in my collection of Steiff since 2004 and has been handled with great care since I'm the original and only owner. This will be a wonderful addition to your collection or make a wonderful gift! Steiff, a German-based toy company was founded in 1880 by Margarete Steiff, a seamstress. Although best known as the inventor of the Teddy bear in 1902, the company is also world-famous for producing exquisitely designed genuine mohair animals. The range of species Steiff has authentically brought to life over the years, from the Armadillo to the Zebra (and almost everything in between), is truly astonishing!
