Rare Vintage 1983 Jeff Lyon Handmade Fillet Brazed Tandem Large Size. Front Captain 23” / 59cm. 33” standover. Rear Stoker 21” / 54cm. 31 1/2” standover. Perfect.
Look at all the pictures depicting the amazing attention to detail on this beautiful Handmade Fillet Brazed masterpiece from a world class frame builder. A little history on Jeff Lyon, he traveled to England when he was a teenager to apprentice under Bill Philbrook. Philbrook himself on a short list of the worlds best bicycle frame builders. Together they built very few tandem frames and exported them back to a few California high end bike shops. Jeff, now back in the states continues world class frame building in his Oregon shop Lyonsport. This particular bike was purchased at Wheelsmith high end road bicycles in famous Palo Alto Ca. Over 00 back in 83. Looking at all those beautiful Fillet Brazed joints just makes me wonder how many man hours are invested into just building this Tandem frame. Wow. Must sell this weekend.
