Scarce vintage GREYHOUND BUS TRAVEL POSTER - For Sale: PODUNK CENTER, IOWA - Feb. 1978; "The United States is for sale. Go anywhere in the U.S. for or less". Measures 28x38 inches. I can't seem to find any other examples of this for sale online. Podunk Center is a tiny little town of only several people, located on county road P71 in Madison County. I found an article online stating that "The town’s biggest claim to fame actually evolved from false advertising in 1978 by Greyhound Lines. The bus company was offering customers a one-way, 60-day, go-anywhere special, and they advertised Podunk Center as the equal to vacation spots such as New York City, San Francisco, Florida, New England, Texas, southern California, the Rocky Mountains, Boston and Arizona".
Condition: EX (minimal wrinkles from rolling, very minimal edge wear, otherwise clean).
