Raleigh Clubman 1951 Reynolds 531 Sturmey AM VGC

Description

You are bidding on a vintage 1951 Raleigh Clubman in very good ridable condition. Mechanically rebuilt with fresh grease and new bearings - bottom bracket, headset, and pedals.
The bike features mostly original components including:
• Sturmey Archer AM Three-Speed Hub (Medium Ratio)
• original Renolds Elite chain
• original Dunlop HP 27 x 1 1/4 wheels 32/40- straight & true
• original Brooks B17 Narrow leather saddle in excellent condition
• original GB Coureur Hiduminium brakes & levers
• original Clubman seat post, handlebar, & stem
• original stem-mounted bell
• original Clubman chainwheel & crank - note that the left crank is fluted and does not-match
• Brampton B8 pedals are rebuilt and in very nice condition with adjustable-length toe-clips
• John Bull handgrips are NOS. They do not match each other exactly but are close.
• Bluemels aluminum fenders are later vintage, in excellent condition
Paint and finish is characteristically thin and faint. Some rust and/or light corrosion is evident especially along right chain stay.
There is also a small ding (about 1/4 inch) in the down tube below the lower pump peg  - which is broken off and missing (see photo)
The gumwall tires are 1960s-1970s vintage. Still usable but somewhat dried out and cracked.
