ORIG ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EDWARDIAN WOMENS TWEED WOOL KNICKERS SPORTSWEAR PANTS

A rare find !! A pair of womens sportswear knickers, original late Victorian to Edwardian. This is the style that was worn for riding the huge wheel bicycles! Side 4 button closure. The fabric is tweed boiled wool. Built in side slant pockets. Very full legs with a 3" wide leg cuff that has 2 matching buttons. There is narrow belt loops only in the back.
In good overall condition; these wonderful knickers have been worn; there is some wear spots that are very small to the size of a half dollar; the crotch seam in the back has wear but is not coming thru and a few light marks that blend in with the tweed pattern. They definitely still have a lot of wear left to them; however if you are looking for mint to very good condition; these are not it.  Measurements are taken laying flat, closed and across then doubled when appropriate;
30" Waist, 14" Crotch rise, 46" Hips at the widest, 30" (around) at the top of the leg, 24" (around) mid leg /knee area and 14" (around) at the bottom.
