Description
Not sure of the brand of this bike, as it is missing head badge, but coming from the collection of the man who owned the Bugatti Cicli company in the 1970s. This was the "model" used at trade shows at that time and was never used. Marked "Ives" in several places, this makes me think the frame may be by Garlatti. I believe it was the larger version of the Bugatti "Record." All wear is from years of storage and being moved from place to place. The owner was a wealthy businessman and bought the naming rights for Bugatti in the 1970s, but it was a short lived venture. Based on my research, there are very few of these bikes still around. The "Record" was the most expensive bike in the Bugatti line up costing 5 in 1973.
Will clean up a great deal. Was shipped from Italy in the 1970s and then in storage at various places since that time. This is a true collector's bike. Very rare to find in unused condition.
Frame size is 25"
Please email with any questions. All offers considered. I also have additional photos of this bike that would not fit in the listing.
Note: I have other Bugatti Bikes from this same collection.
Condition: Missing brake pads. Rubber around the brake handles is deteriorating. Tires should be replaced. Sold "as is," I know very little about bikes, so please ask questions.
We can not ship, but our local bike shop can pack and ship for a fee. Please contact to make arrangements.
