    Description

    This is a sweet vintage Steiff teddy bear. Numbered 0155/42 on the tag in it's ear. It is a 16" bear of wool & cotton with stitched nose, mouth & paws & glass eyes. Still has the button & tag in the ear & a hang tag attached to it's chest. One paw is signed, "______ Steiff", I can't make out the first part. The opposite paw is signed "1983". Hang tag indicated it's from the Margarete Woodbury Strong Museum. The bear is fully jointed & the head turns. It is a humpback bear & it is a growler. Comes in a vintage Steiff box, which I don't know if it's original to this bear or not. In very good condition. No damage, soil or issues. Fur is soft & plush. No play wear. Smells ever so slightly musty from storage. We currently have the bear sealed in plastic with a coffee packet, which usually removes the musty smell.  Charming!
