Description
This road bicycle with rare Campagnolo bar-end shifters was one of a handful custom-made in 1972 (could have been 1973) by Holdsworth for the racing team of Hill Cycle Shop in Chestnut Hill, PA, and is no doubt one of few survivors. I bought it brand new in 1973. For more on Hill Cycle Shop and their bikes of this era, see:http://bikeville.blogspot.com/2010/03/hill-cycle-shop.html
The Campagnolo components are in good condition (see photos). But in 1987 a car made a panic stop in front of me and the bike's front wheel was pushed back towards the down tube. I paid a welding shop and the geometry was restored to where I could ride the bike but it's not perfect. I rode it that way for some years before putting it in storage. It is still rideable today but to truly restore the geometry, the bike should be brought to a frame-builder or similar expert, and I am selling the frame ''as-is.''
