Description
Up for auction is a vintage road bike from the legendary bicycle company
Basso Loto
. The frame has been purchased 3 years ago by a friend of mine as an "old stock" frame from the Austrian bike shop and manufacturer "RIH". They had the frame on stock for over 20 years. This is also the reason why you hardly find any decals on the frame. The dealer RIH ordered these frames free of any decals and added their own decals. I think the frame dates back to +/- 1990. The bike is 2x7 speed. The frame itself has less than 500km, my friend built it up and was too concerned about the condition that he only used it on a few sunday rides. Also t
he whole bike is in very good condition with minor signs of use.
As my friend works as a professional bike mechanic, everything works very well, it shiftes and brakes well, but it could be improved after shipment and reassembling by putting some fresh grease and oil on the mechanical parts and do a little bit of brake and gear adjusting. The tires are tubulars, they are not new, but in good condition (Liontyres). The bike is generally very clean, but you may find traces of dirt here and there. The paint and decals are original and unrestored.
The frame is made of
Columbus SLX
tubing. The paint is 99% mint, there may be 2-3 paint imperfections that are about 1-2mm and there is a bit of paint loss on the nipple where you can place the chain (right rear stay). There are no "touch ups".
The bike is mainly
equipped with
Campagnolo
components. The crankset is an outstanding
Miche Supertype with TA Specialities
chainrings. Most parts are Super Record and C-Record. The components are all in very good to excellent condition, showing definitely only very low milage.

Campagnolo
are:
front (C-Record) and rear derailleur (Super Record); hubs and skewers (Super Record); brake calipers (Super Record); brake levers (C-Record); shifting levers (C-Record); headset (Record); the seatpost is a non-aero C-Record.

are: the awesome lightweight Miche Supertype crank; t
he saddle (Selle San Marco Regal Girardi); the stem and the handlebar (Cinelli Grammo Titanium and Cinelli Giro d'Italia which has been shortened slightly); the rims (Mavic GP4 for tubulars); the bottom bracket is one with Titanium spindle; the pedals (MKS Sylvan, brandnew)

Frame size: according to my measuring: 57.5cm tall (center - center), 58.5 (center - upper end); 56.5cm long (center - center).

Please be aware that the buyer bears the risk of damage during transport. I pack well (usually packing a bicycle takes about 1,5 hours), but you never know what happens during transport.
I will have to take off the 2 wheels and the pedals and  will also have to put the saddle and the handlebar aside the frame tubes. In some cases I will also take off the fork for additional safety of the bike. All this will be done well wrapped.
Sometimes I ship in one parcel, sometimes in two. Please claculate with 1-2 hours for unwrapping and reassembling the bike and be aware that a small gearshift and brakes adjustment after reassembling the bike may be necessary. Insurance is included, but as far as I know in most cases the insurance covers only loss and not damage. I am located in Vienna, Austria, EU and ship from here. Although all parcels go by airmail, sometimes it can take a bit longer than expected. An average parcel, e.g. to the USA, takes about 10-14 business days to arrive. Sometimes it can also take 3-4 weeks. There are customs and security checks involved that sometimes delay the shipment.
Especially smaller parcels (up to 1kg), get in many cases upgraded at my costs to priority parcel mail (depends on the weight and destination). Still there is no guaranteed shipping time.
Carriers I use are the Austrian Post, DHL (large parcels) and sometimes smaller carriers like Hermes and GLS. In your country the parcels will be delivered with a local carrier (e.g. USPS in the USA).
