Here’s your chance to own one of the finest examples of the bike that started the modern carbon fiber bike craze in todays Peloton. Under Head of Development Bernard Hinault, LOOK developed a new generation of Ceramic reinforced tubes of Carbon and Kevlar.
LOOK’s first Carbon bike was ridden to a Tour de France victory in 1986 by Greg LeMond after a famous chase by Hinault (his teammate).
The LOOK KG96 rapidly became the frame of choice in the early 1990’s professional peloton as it was ridden by teams; TOSHIBA, ONCE, PDM, THALMAN, La Vie Claire and others.
This is a one owner bike which has just received a complete to the frame restoration.
Frame decals and clear coat are 100% original. All components received a thorough ultrasonic cleaning and lubrication, all cables and housings have been replaced with new and the final assembly was performed by a vintage Campagnolo specialist. This is a truly exceptional bike which displays minimal signs of wear. Other than minor surface scratches the only noticeable wear is on the hard anodized wheel braking surfaces.
