This listing is for one vintage 1984 Stumpjumper SC Rare Mountain Bike Specialized.
Here’s one you don’t see everyday or even once a year. The last year of the first generation Stumpjumpers. This one only has a handful of miles on it due to it being used as display. I had what I called my Stumpjumper Crown Jewel Bookends: the low #92 first batch of 250 Oct. 1981 large frame Tig welded stumpy and this one, the best made with the rarest of components - large Lugged frame SC model 1984. After 84 the beautiful twin plate fork gave way to the new Unicrown fork. Terrible. Anyway, SC stands for Super Carrera as told to me buy Specialized engineers. Porsche had an SC Carrera in 83 with this exact color, Slate Blue Metallic. Anyway at least enjoy the pictures of this rare beast.
