1970's Peugeot PX10 Record du Monde Road Bike
This is a fair example of an early 70’s (1973 I believe) Peugeot PX10 road bike. This bike was specifically designed for competing in the Tour de France! It is an all steel rig made of Reynolds 531 steel tubing (slight evidence of the original decal remains). I rescued it about 6 years ago in the hopes of restoring it and riding it myself, unfortunately the frame is too big for me (63cm) and there’s no practical way of fitting the bike to myself, so I’ve finally decided to let go 😭
It is rideable in its current condition, but my hope is someone else sees this as a unique opportunity to restore a classic and enjoy it as I wish I could have!
