This listing is for the Schwinn Klunker Custom bicycle as shown. It is a complete, finished, tuned and test-ridden bicycle that combines the vintage with the modern. It has a 1963 Schwinn Corvette model frame with 1980s bmx style tubular fork. Both have brake studs and various cable guides brazed on to keep things smooth. The frame, fork and truss rods ( scratch built) are all professionally powder coated with base color and a semi-matte clear which is super durable. The wheels are vintage 80s Araya silver alloy rims ,straight gauge stainless spokes with black Deore cassette rear and front hubs. Cranks are powder coated Shimsno Deore with 175mm arms and a sweet YST sealed bearing bottom bracket. Pedals are MKS bmx. Brake calipers are early Deore with new Kool -Stop pads and stainless cables. Brake handles are Ultegra 2x9 good used . Derailleur and shifter are Shimano Deore XT with KMC chain and sram cassette. The headset is original Schwinn as is upper truss plate. Stem is powder coated on quill adapter Saddle is nice vintage Ideale 80 with XL Schwinn post. This would probably fit up to 6’2” riders , frame measures 18” tall x 23” reach, standard Schwinn frame dimensions. This entire bike has been carefully assembled, each part chosen to give maximum durability and reliability with most ease of use. Everything is serviceable and basically standard sizes .
