The TR-4: DOES IT DO BETTER OVER OR UNDER 100?
The TR-4 is very happy at 110. But torque is high at all speeds.
So if you never take it over 50, you still know you're driving a sports car. A lot of sports car.
The Manufacturer's Team Prize at Le Mans in 1961 went to specially modified TR-4’s. Also the Motor Magazine Award for the top British entry. The TR-4 is a tough, race-bred machine. You know it when you drop
into synchronized first gear and leave traffic behind.
Is the TR-4 exclusively for racing? Definitely no!
We showed the TR-4 at Earl’s Court in London and it won a Gold Medal for coach work. The top is watertight. The windows roll up. The upholstery is real leather. There's room in back for an optional rear seat and room in the trunk for a long trip's luggage.
