    Description

Gorgeous mostly original paint & equipment 1953 Roadmaster Men's Tank Bike Black w/White & Red Trim 26" Balloon Tire Model! This mid line Roadmaster has a lot going for it with it's wide longhorn bars, rear rack, dual crash bar style truss rods and rack struts,  rear reflector with bezel and an amazing red Troxel crash rail seat! Original USR Chain Tread tires are in poor condition but luckily have been reproduced. The bike is missing it's original grips, softball headlight and horn/button/battery unit. Rear rim has a rusty section and several missing and loose spokes. White tank panels, fender tips and rack stripe have a thin overpaint and red striping touch up by the original owner. The Roadmaster decals on the tank however are still visible and with some careful work I think there's a good chance it could be removed without damaging the original paint underneath. Tank is clean inside with no rust. The balance of the paint is very good. I think the front hub is a Musselman, rear New Departure D has been recently serviced. No noted frame isses or crash damage after a careful inspection. In researching this bicycle I found many less Roadmaster badged examples than the Luxury and Pleasure Liner models of the same era. I found a few similar examples but none with this combination of two color paint accents, earlier style chain guard and red seat. I ship whole bikes via Bikeflights/UPS or Shipbikes/FedEx, and charge raw shipping cost plus a nominal fee for materials. I've quoted a flat 0 fee to cover most shipping scenarios. If significantly less I may be able to refund the difference but generally this shipping cost is not negotiable. Please message me if you have further questions, thanks for your interest!
